  • Andy Miller : "I thought I'd tell you a few things about the movie. I made it when I was 16 and 17, with friends of mine acting in it who are around the same age. I made the movie without James Ellroy's expressed permission. I haven't made any money off of it and I don't plan to unless I somehow get James Ellroy's permission. Since I've finished the movie I've reread American Tabloid and realized some mistakes I made and that some parts of the book were a little over my head. While I am very proud of the movie, there are some parts I would like to change in it."
