Mysterious Press, New York Last chapter of the Lloyd Hopkins Trilogy. James Ellroy signed a contract to write five novels with Lloyd Hopkins. He began the writing of a fourth chapter titled The Cold Six Thousand. But the aventures of Lloyd Hopkins were boring Ellroy who negotiated with his editor the end of writing of this book. Ellroy could come back to his main obession : the writing of The Black Dahlia. The story takes place between november and december 1984.
